The Montague Twins

To Think About...

1. Do you believe in magic and the  supernatural? Have you had any experiences that inform your view?

2. Do you find the relationship between the twins, Peter and Alastair realistic? Do you think most families have such easy relationships?

3. Do you think the series title should be The Montague Twins? Charlie and Rowan are equally helpful in solving the mystery – would there be a better series title? What would you suggest?

4. How did you find the art? Do you read many graphic novels? Would you have preferred it to be a non-illustrated novel instead of a graphic novel?

  1. 4. Personally I love graphic novels. I used to go to my local library and grab handfuls that I would read in under a week. I also love seeing the different art in each graphic novel. All the illustrators have their different way of drawing and they are all unique in their own way.
I do love graphic novels however I could also see this book as being a great novel. If it had been a novel instead they could have added the inner thoughts of the characters and we would have gotten a more in depth view of their feelings. I also just enjoy novels because we are able to use our imagination and draw pictures in our head. Novels gives us the opportunity to imagine the characters in our own way and shape the scenes how we like them. That's why I now read more novels than graphic novels.
Either way, it was a great book and a nice light read for the weekend ;). - EL
